Hello, Runners!
Well, it was bitterly cold, wasn't it?
John O'Shea arrived before the race this month but he brought a pacer with him, Hugh Falkner. I'll have to look at the rules about that tactic. Anyway, Hugh said he'd enjoyed the race and would be keen to do it again so I've added his time to the results.
I was advised that Tom had fallen over during the race, had got up, and finished. But I wasn't aware of that until I was about to return to work. Tom, may I draw your attention to the 'Running whilst under the influence of drink or drugs' section of the race rules. Basically, it's permitted but only if you leave your drink/drugs with the officials before you start the race. I hope you were OK and that your pride and the knee I saw you applying a plaster to were the only casualties.
This month's winner of the Hanscomb Trophy, and a first-time winner, was Paul Fitzwalter. Well done, Paul!
