Hello Fellow Runners,
Please find attached the results for our last Bridges race of 2019.
Another excellent turnout so thanks as always for the great support and making the race so fantastic to be involved with.
A superb performance saw Colin Harris smash his handicap and secure the Hanscomb Trophy. Mr Handicap is now at work so good luck on retaining the gold medal place Colin.
Thanks to Lee for giving up his time and working the stop watch, as always a pleasure Mr. Mansfield and thanks for being such a great supporter of the race.
It was also a nice surprise to see John Handscomb, Guy Lawrenson and Jeremy Barber at the start. Guy and Jeremy introduced me to the race 10 or so years ago so I have them to thank for so many memories.
As you know the January race will be my last as I will shortly be moving home and early in the Spring retiring from HMRC. As yet I have not received any firm commitment to take over the race from February. Perhaps if we could find four or five people to form a committee to take over the organisation then we can keep the race going for a few more years let. Please give it some thought and if you are interested in being part of a committee let me know.
So for now have a very merry Christmas and I look forward very much to seeing some of you on January 9.
I will need help on the day of the race so if anyone has not worn off the Christmas excess by then and want to help on the day please let me know by return.
