Hello Fellow Runners,
Here are the results for the April race.
A splendid effort for the man that refuses to age and refuses to be anything but in a good mood and that's Mr Merv Phillips. A terrific performance Merv on a very busy course, I was delighted for you.
Thanks to Brian Okane for his fine work with the watch and for changing his working office on the day, it was much appreciated Brian and we all hope you can run again with us in the future.
Welcome to the new runners, I hope you enjoyed the event and choose to race again at some stage, you are always welcome.
The next race will take place on Wednesday 10 May, I will be present but will need some help on the day so if you are injured or simply willing to help please let me know.
I will not be at the July race as I will be lazing with a beer and hopefully taking in some sunshine. So if you would like to volunteer to step in please let me know and I will arrange for the handover of watch and paperwork.
The future of the race is still to be nailed down but it looks as though a committee is favourite with me continuing in the background doing the results and when possible helping on race day. I am moving to Canary Wharf so I'm hoping that my immediate management will agree I can make at least four races a year as I would like to help out when I can. So if you would like to be part of the committee plus step forward now and we can make the necessary arrangements. I should be all the races until at least October so we do have a bit of time to get organised.
