February 2017 Results
Hello Fellow Runners,
It was a real pleasure watching Nina sprint the last 100m to secure the trophy and her smile at the end was pure gold. So congratulations Nina you were a worthy winner.
Thanks Julia for giving up your time to help with the admin, it was blooming freezing so I hope it did not take you too long to warm up post-race.
The next race will take place on Wednesday March 8 providing I can persuade a couple of old hands to organise the event. I have a work related event that I need to attend so I will have to miss out. If you are willing to help I can arrange for the paperwork, watch etc. to arrive at the start of the race and will arrange collection afterwards.
The future
As you know my last race as the main organiser will be in May. We all of course want the race to continue so perhaps the following might offer a way forward.
I will not be able to attend the races in person so if we can find five or six regulars to form a committee then there is plenty of coverage to organise things on race day. I would then be able and willing to produce the results, add new runners to the database and carry on with the background stuff. If you think this might work and more importantly would like to be part of the committee please let me know. Perhaps we could then meet one lunchtime or maybe after work to discuss.

I hear that our champion for February is to become Mrs. Trevarthen in the near future, so from me, and I'm sure everyone involved with the race Nina, the heartiest of congratulations and have a blissfully happy marriage.
And finally, thanks for supporting the race and for the good humour and banter, you are an amazing group of people.
