Hello Fellow Runners,
Here are the results for the June Bridges race run on Wednesday 10 June.
The number of runners, 45, is certainly a record in my seven years of organising the event and maybe the highest ever. A fabulous turnout so thank you all for supporting the race.
The race also marked Alan Davidson's 200th which puts him very much near the top of all time appearances.
The race was won by Mrs C, Francesca Carter who came sprinting to the finish line barely out of breath, a terrific effort and I was delighted to hand over the Handscomb Trophy.
My special thanks to my glamorous assistant, Jo Turner. Jo has not run in the race as yet but was willing to give up her lunch hour, I think the number of runners took her by surprise but she dealt with the timings perfectly.
And finally welcome to our new faces, I hope you enjoyed the event and hope you will race again in the future.
The next race will take place on Wednesday 8 July, I will need some help on the day so if you are willing to help please let me know.
I will be away for the September race so will be looking for one experienced helper to assist Mark Taylor who has already informed me he is willing to run the event.
