I graduated in Biotechnology from cardiff last year with a 2.1 grade.

I'm going back to Cardiff next year for an MSc course in Genetic Counselling.

Comparitively recently I started to draw (shortly after my 18th birthday is when i seriously began to apply myself to it) and that is my primary creative outlet.  I really enjoy it, but I rarely get enough practice and inspiration.  My ultimate aim would be to write a comic/webcomic of some sort and/or make some money out of my artwork, but those might take me a while.  I also aim to practice writing, fiction and non-fiction, a lot more.

I enjoy reading, primarily fantasy and sci-fi, particularly the work of Robin Hobb, and the Kushiel's Legacy series by Jacqueline Carey.  I'm also a Tolkein fan, among many others.  I will probably blog quite a lot about whatever i'm currently reading, reviewing books is fun ^_^  I also read a number of comics, mostly Marvel.

I'm hopelessly addicted to webcomics, to the extent that I've got a whole page dedicated to them...

I enjoy films and TV, again, lots of fantasy and sci-fi (Farscape is a particular favourite in TV terms, as is Firefly/Serenity) and a lot of comedy (Scrubs and Coupling).

I've always had an interest in theatre, and recently I became active in Cardiff University's Drama Society, Act 1.  I had a great time crewing one of their plays, and i plan to go back and do it again next year.

Finally, I'm a pretty keen cook.  Mostly baking of lots of sweet things (CHOCOLATE!) but branching out mo0re recently into main meals etc.
