One of the friendliest places i've been to on the web, Earthsong's forums are a great place to go, with something for everyone, from randomness and chatter to a thriving and high-quality freeform RPGing section. Unfortunately, a recent site crash lost everything, but we're gradually building back up. I still mod here.
The development and users forum for Battle For Wesnoth. generally friendly and helpful, and being here has done wonders for my artwork. I'm mostly involved with the art side of the forum, doing portraits and sprites for the game. Little of my work has made it to mainline so far, but I aim to improve that.
A forum created for one of PopCap's best games, Flying Bear Entertainment's Insaniquarium, this forum has grown from humble roots on an EZBoard into a large and interesting forum, with loads of fun and a great Gaming section. I'm an Admin on the site, and have made many of the graphics.
Many of my visitors will know dA well, and I'd suggest that the forum's an excellent place to go. I used to spend a lot of time providing my services in the Help section before they closed it, and most of the rest lurking between Politics and Complaints, though I rarely post there (those sections are not for the faint of heart. If you want to post, come with a strong argument prepared for some good debate; and for flaming morons, with flame resistant suit ) which are always fun to read.
